Spruce Parent Teacher Organization

The SPTO is a non-profit 501c organization that supports the students of Spruce Elementary School in North Tonawanda, NY. Any parent who has a student enrolled in Spruce is automatically granted membership in our organization. Likewise, any staff member of Spruce is granted membership. We do not collect any membership dues, and instead rely on several fundraisers throughout the year to collect our funds.

The goal of the SPTO is to enhance the educational experience of our students, teachers and parents by providing meaningful programs that benefit our school community. We fund all field trips at Spruce, host Family Fun Night events several nights a year, host a twice annual Scholastic Book Fair, and sponsor events such as our Kindergarten Orientation, Holiday Shop, Field Day, Third Grade Celebration and Teacher Appreciation, among other things. This year we also began funding Spruce's Book Vending Machine, ensuring that each student receives a book on their birthday!

All meetings are held at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria unless otherwise noted.
